These are some messages received and lessons I have learnt over the last 5 years as I have tried to cope with events centred on losing our house in 2007-8 and plenty more that followed.  They derive from books I have read but mostly just the trail of life’s experience and over the time I have bounced all over the place, trying to find order and a route forward.  If some of this strays into the wacky, soz, but it is just my journey and I am happy to share the experience with you.  I am not claiming any of this is true or right, it is just my personal thought, so I can’t and won’t argue in support of it.

To clarify the basis, these are not religious views in the traditional sense, though probably closest to a more eastern interpretation of religion where freedom of thought is fundamental rather than control and dogma.  My thoughts are more likely based on the principle of spirituality and I can you tell the day and moment that it all began, but that’s another story!

So here are the messages and lessons that I can remember:

1.    Understand that the creation of sincere thoughts, ideas, emotions, whether positive or negative, is the creation of physical energy that leads to and encourages corresponding events – “what you think is what will be” - therefore always try to be positive and conversely, don’t think yourself into a train of negative thoughts that leads to depression that you then have to struggle to climb out of – easier said than done, but at least if you understand the theory, you are already on the way and this can sometimes stop you slipping down the slope or hasten the climb back.

2.    Always….every morning and every evening, or at any time in your thoughts, be deeply grateful for what you have (health, family, loved ones) for what you can do at the most basic level (walk, wash, eat etc) and give sincere thanks from your heart – do not focus on what you do not have, it is a negative thought and leads to a negative consequence.  Some people do this with prayer, but I don’t think there is much difference between a sincere focused thought and a prayer.

3.    If you think constantly negatively of others, you create negative energy around and within yourself – simply put, when you are active in your thoughts “what you sow is what you reap”.

4.    Continually seek moments of peace, when you try to empty your mind of all thoughts and focus only on your breathing – seek inner peace.  It’s very hard to achieve and sometimes seems just impossible, but a guided meditation CD is a good way to get started, particularly if you can’t get to sleep well or you just want to create a time of peace.  As you practise, you can become better.  I have been practising for 4 years and am still struggling and often unable to control my stress, but I take a long term view.  On a bad night, I will listen to a 30 min meditation 3 times before I have removed the heaviness of my chest, but great feeling when you have and much better than having a sleepless night of fear and lower and lower energy, that leads to only one thing, sickness.

5.    Understand that when you have a reaction to an event, such as negative news, that you determine and you decide what your reaction is going to be.  Ie if someone pulls out in front of you sharply while you are driving, you can react in different ways.  If you let yourself react angrily, that is your choice or rather your lack of choice to control your emotions (or ego).  If you control your reaction, you can simply smile externally and internally and not allow the event to upset your equilibrium.  It is the same for any negative event, so part of the secret of happiness, is to teach yourself gradually to control your reaction to all negative events and decide that they are not negative and you will then simply suffer less or at least more quickly to return to a peaceful state of equilibrium, the body’s and mind’s natural state.

6.    If you feel you are struggling – stand back from where you are now and try to look beyond, again easier said than done but consider that this struggle may only be to help you develop and may even be, on a higher level, what you asked for in order to help you develop as a soul (some good books on this subject).  In other words, you may need to struggle through this event in order to learn how to manage a greater challenge later or to make the most of a future opportunity.  It’s just saying that there is sometimes a bigger picture playing out that we are unable to appreciate in the moment.  These well known words (not mine) somehow say something similar:

One night I dreamed a dream.
I was walking along the beach with my best friend. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my friend.
When the last scene of my life shot before me I looked back at the footprints in the sand. There was only one set of footprints. I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of my life. This always bothered me and I questioned my friend about my dilemma.
"You told me when I decided to follow you, You would walk and talk with me all the way. But I'm aware that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I just don't understand why, when I need you most, you leave me."
He whispered to me, "My dear friend, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

7.    Never consider that you are alone, there is always the love of someone close to you, who is trying to offer you support, if only you can listen and accept it.  If you can let it in, love is so powerful and more powerful than fear.

8.     Never compare yourself materially with others – it is the easiest thing to do, but we are all equal and we all have our own journey, as its suits our development – there is a perfect plan for all (sounds horribly naff, but it is what I believe).

9.    Never give up on something that you know to be true and just.

10.    Recognise that of all emotions, love is the most powerful when it is pure and intense and above all, unconditional.

11.    Consciously keep your mind open to consider deeply what you may not have considered before.  Specifically, open your mind to the idea that there be more to life than the period of linear time that you currently recognise as your life span – be not an automatic slave to linear time.  There are some great books I can recommend on this matter.

12.    Try to learn to separate the ego from the soul, the ego is that whom you know too well and who drives you through every moment, the soul is whom you need to know – knowing it provides the source of true happiness and to listen to it, you need to find inner peace – easiest of all through meditation.

13.    Treat your own body with love and respect, try to give it what it needs both physically and mentally, it loves exercise and light foods (and not too much vodka).

14.    If ever, someone is bugging, threatening you, if they are big in your face – try this exercise – taught to me in Kiev by a lady called Inna.  Visualise the (difficult) person or persons as you see them in front of you, they may seem life size and or bigger than life size, their face may be too close to yours for comfort.

Decide, within your visualisation that you are going to take control.  Imagine that you can grow taller, by a metre and then look down at them staring up at you and then shrink them by a half so you are at least 2metres taller and then keep steadily shrinking them until they are about 7 cm tall.  Then envisage a nearby coffee table with an upturned glass on it.  Gently pick them up, lift up the glass and place the glass, still upturned over them and watch what happens.  They will start to struggle and they will seem very insignificant and they will be no threat to you and you should feel better.  Then to finish you can send them love and forgiveness and release them.

It is just a mental exercise, but when I was very low and felt very threatened and scared, this exercise helped me put things into perspective.  I know other exercises that help remove negativity from within.

15.     Only the present moment is really important and in fact vital.  Further to that, never regret the past, an event or an action by you, it is gone and forgotten and similarly don’t hang on to the future as your motivation for today.  If you do, you may well be disappointed. In other words, live for the moment, value the moment and be content to let the actions of the moment lay the ground for the future.  But remember, if you believe in the power of thought and action, there is a universal consequence for actions past.  Ie if you behave with malice towards someone, expect that one day the wheel turns and you will answer for what was done.  Similarly, if you behave with love and care towards someone, exactly the same is true, so better to build up a track record of sincere loving actions, that is your best investment.

16.    There have been times when we have been very low and so desperate that we have turned to various people (mediums) who have the gift to receive messages that may be from a higher source.  I have a wife who has this gift and know many other kind and genuine people who can do this, so it’s hard for me to dismiss it, but like many great things, it also has a downside.  When we had no idea if we would win our house back, we turned to at least 3 such people, in Kiev and UK and asked them to see the future for us, in order to seek comfort.  Kind words came back with positive news and linked to dates and deadlines.  We fixed these dates in our minds as watersheds by which we convinced ourselves that things would be fine.  Time and time again the dates and deadlines passed and time and time again, we sank into despair at the idea that the information was false and we did not know when the nightmare would be over.

We are wiser now and as mentioned in point 6 above, we could not see the bigger picture through the fear of the moment.  Now, all I can tell you is this.  If you live in fear, you create more fear and more negative events.  You are the only person who can determine your future, in what you do, think, believe.  Don’t get fixated by the general understanding of time (point 11).  Set goals by all means and plan for the future and act to make the future happen, but live for the present and take responsibility for how you live each day.  The rest, as hard as it seems able to understand, will take care of itself.  In other words, on the issue of linear time, just relax, slow down and take it easy.

For example, in 2011, it has dawned on me that there is no point in saying that we will have resolved our Kiev house issues by any given date.  There is just sense in saying it will be resolved and I just need to carry on doing the best I can.  It is another matter, if you are hurting badly about someone who has passed way that you didn’t manage to say goodbye to or with whom you argued before they died etc.  Then, people we know (and Zoe) can and should help you, as long as the reason for wanting to seek contact is based on love.  A lot more to be said on that and it starts drifting down “Wacky Road” again, but the message really is life your own life, take responsibility for how you live, don’t depend on others to tell how it will be, don’t worry about time, either in the past of future, live for the moment and live it right.

If you have read all these points and think to yourself, what on earth is he talking about or you can say to yourself “I can relate to hardly anything written above”, then I have only one message – just please, please, say “thank you”, every day to God or to someone upstairs for what you have and what you enjoy and take nothing for granted.

In finishing, I am glad to tell you this.

If someone very powerful said to me today: “Will, you can go back to 2006, before your problems in Kiev started and I will put two closed doors before you.  If you open the door on the left, it will take you through the same circumstances that you have been through already.  The door on the right will allow you to carry on your life and not go through the events experienced.”  Without hesitation, I know now that I would choose the door on the left.

    Will

So, we’ve already established that Searle’s clinical trials and the FDA’s approval of Oxandrolone established it as a mild anabolic, designed to maintain and promote lean tissue growth or maintenance.

We’ve also established that Oxandrolone is so mild in terms of its side effects that women and even children were included as subjects in the clinical trials, and that it was approved for their use as well.
